I’m
guessing you’d like your CG project to be a success! (and
something you can be proud of). You’d probably also like
it to be fun to work on and a worthwhile investment of your
time and money.
I offer the skills and experience to get your project off to
a flying start (or save the day if things are going astray).
Offering creative guidance, technical know-how and 12 years
professional experience. I’ve worked for clients in many
different fields; Commercials, Children's Television, Broadcast
Design, Pop Promos, Short Films, and Film Fx. My talents are
broad - encompassing advanced skills in traditional artistic
fundamentals; drawing & painting, design, form, composition,
light and colour with the skills of director; a canny
knack for storytelling - pacing, editing, drama, and finding
humour! I'm also, of course, familiar with the principles of
character animation. All this is supported by an 'in the trenches'
understanding of computer graphics - I really know
the medium; exactly what's possible, how long things take, what’s
easy, what’s difficult, where potential dangers lie and
how to get the very most out of your ideas.
Over
the years the majority of my work has been in Commercials and
Children’s Television Production Design. Commercials allow
me to work at the cutting edge, with the best artists and companies
in town and to the very highest standards - exploring ideas
and aesthetic styles and staying on top of my game.
Long format production design allows me to exercise a long--standing
interest in film-making, editing, narrative construction, character
development, creative problem solving and humour! I also enjoy
having a longer relationship with clients and the chance to
be part of a team. All in all the two areas feed one another
very effectively.
As
a Director I have learnt to listen. To fully understand
the creative demands of a brief, spot the potential pitfalls
along the path (whilst not loosing track of the original goal)
and carefully manipulate the ingredients of a project to reach
a result that solves the original brief in dazzling fashion...on
time and on budget.
Where?
I have a studio in Shoreditch, London and
also regularly work in situ collaborating with companies in
the London area and beyond. (hence your best first call is to
my mobile!)
I
take great pride in my work and endeavour to be absolutely professional
